Foundation to host Year 3/4 Touch Festival

 

On Wednesday 8th March, Salford Red Devils foundation will host a year 3/4 Sky Try touch rugby festival which will be held at the AJ Bell stadium. Schools from across the area will come together to take part, in which for some, will be their first taste of rugby league. in a rugby league festival, which for some will be their first taste. The festival will be an insight in to the sport and an opportunity to get involved in their local community club. Each child will be given the opportunity to take part in a number of games and will be given information on training times and open training sessions which will be ran at each community club within Salford.

 

The festival will run as a non contact "touch" format to ease participants in to the full contact sport. With reduced rules and a less competitive focus, everyone involved will have free range to show case their creativity and athleticism in an enjoyable atmosphere. There are going to be festivals at various age groups that will help to improve not only playing levels within the Salford area but also skill levels.
