Friday Night is Student Night

Following the success of the Varsity match between Salford and Manchester University Rugby League teams, the Salford City Reds Foundation are delighted to announce this Friday’s match as a special student event, and extend an invitation, welcoming all the region’s students to Friday’s match against Bradford, to enjoy the game as well as much more on offer.

As well as the game itself, which promises to be a fiercely fought contest against our trans-Pennine rivals, there will be a selection of live music acts and bands to get the weekend move under way, as well as special drinks promotions for all students with their NUS ID.

With the evenings warming, exams finishing and the season getting into full swing, there has never been a better time to come down to the City of Salford Stadium and cheer on the famous Salford City Reds, and that’s without the consideration of the student drink offer!

Mark Brocklehurst, SCRF Community and Business Manager, said, “It was fantastic to welcome so many students and young people to the recent Varsity game, and we hope to welcome our student fans for this week’s match against Bradford. With a special price promoted ticket and a drinks promotion, we’d like to say congratulations to the students finishing their exams at the end of the academic year, and to invite them to celebrate and kick off their weekend with us on Friday.”

With all students, both Rugby League fanatics as well as those uninitiated, invited to enjoy the game, we hope to see you at the game. Tickets are priced at £5 each, and are available from representatives at your University (Manchester, MMU, Salford as well as several colleges). Please call the Salford City Reds Foundation Community offices on 0161 820 2739 for more information.
