Play masters rugby league in Salford

There a number of opportunities coming up for over 35’s to get involved in the growing sport of Masters Rugby League.

Masters is an adapted form of the game, designed to enable over 35’s to continue playing the sport, or the take up the sport in a less physically demanding environment.

Players wear different colour shorts depending on their age categories, which determine the level of contact allowed whilst tackling.

Masters is a fantastic way to keep fit, as well as a great opportunity to be part of a highly social team environment. The game is widely played across the UK, with festivals and matches taking place in at variety of different clubs and places.

Salford has a thriving masters scene with the area currently boasting three masters teams training and playing regularly, at Cadishead Rhinos, Folly Lane, and Salford City Roosters. Full training information can be found below.

The first masters festival of the summer takes place on 13th of July at Cadishead Rhinos. Prior to this the Rhinos will also host a ‘Salford Masters’ training session, open to all on the 6th July, which starts at 7pm.
