Natwest enterprise programme off to flying start

Natwest enterprise programme off to perfect start

The Natwest enterprise programme has got off to a strong start at the AJ Bell Stadium, as Albion Academy were the first to try out the pioneering new scheme.

‘Tackle Enterprise’ will give the students a taster of what it is like to be at the heart of a professional sports club, and what it takes to keep a Super League club ticking.

The first session focuses on skills specific to business in sport, and featured a talk from former Foundation Operations manager John Blackburn who has worked in the sports industry for over 25 years.

The course aims to develop intuitive thinking as well as equip the participants with crucial skills that can take into their education and future working life

The programme will feature an ‘Apprentice’ style challenge, which will see the groups split into teams, to go head to head in a business challenge.

Foundation Education Manager Neil was delighted with the way the programme started, and looking forward to seeing it develop;

“It was great to see the kids from Albion Academy really engaging with the programme and actively working to take something out of it, hopefully as the weeks go on we can see them make real progress and thinking about a career in business and sport”
