Tackle Men's Health
'Tackle Men's Health' is one of our new programmes alongside our 'Tackle Family Weight' programme newly commissioned by the Salford Clinical Commissioning Group.
The Foundation will deliver a 12 month city wide preventative programme with the aim to ‘Tackle Mens’ Health’ using an innovative sports club related approach actively supporting the Salford Health and Wellbeing Board’s strategy.
Our Tackle Men's Health programme is currently being delivered through our Touch Rugby League and Red Devils Bootcamp programmes.
These Programmes aim to:
- Target males aged 30+
- Engage residents of Salford
- Maintain sense of health and wellbeing
- Increase physical activity levels
- Sustain positive behaviour change
Touch Rugby League
Our Touch Rugby League successfully ran throughout the summer at Salford Sports Village, with over 70 participants attending on a weekly basis.
We are now looking to start our Winter League from 14th January at Albion Academy, 1 London Street, M6 6QT from 6pm till 8pm
Touch Rugby is the perfect way to either get back into playing rugby or to just get back to fitness with it being completely non-contact with players of all ages attending, please feel free to come down and join in either as an individual or with a team of 10 players.
Red Devils Bootcamp
Working in partnership with Your Gym the Foundation launches its Red Devils Boot Camp Sundays here at the A J Bell Stadium 9:00am.
Although the funding for this programme aims to engage with males entitling them to their first 4 free sessions, FEMALES ARE MORE THAN WELCOME and can attend for the small fee of just £3 if you bring along a male colleague / friend / partner.
