Announcing the Red Devils Try Learning Academy

 

 

We at the Salford Red Devils Foundation are delighted to announce the launch of the Red Devils Try Learning Academy, a Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sports Performance & Excellence.
 

As the equivalent to 3 A Levels, this course will provide a first class education, providing an alternative route the traditional paths, while leading to higher education and university.
 

As well as providing a bedrock of high calibre academic learning, this course will also provide successful applicants qualifications, as well as important experience in regards to working within the sports industry here at the Salford Red Devils.
 

This could include gaining first hand experience in a number of areas across our activities here at the Red Devils, including areas such as Physio, Ground Maintenance, Corporate Hospitality, Retail, Coaching and more.
 

We will also be working closely with a number of corporate partners across multiple sectors in order to provide students access future job opportunities.
 

As part of the SRDFoundation’s wider education and employment activities, this initiative will support our other ongoing activity, such as our Tackle Unemployment and Back To Work Schemes.
 

Foundation Education and Employment Officer Neil Blackburn said, “We are delighted to be making this announcement in launching this course in anticipation to our January start date, and we hope to capture the imagination and interest of the next generation of the regions young minds who may benefit from a more alternative approach to further education.
 

“Providing students the opportunity to develop their skills and experience in a more hands on, involved approach has been hugely successful for us here at the Foundation, and we are pleased to be extended this practise further through the employment of this course.”
