Salford Red Devils awarded Pride Cup 2014

The Salford Red Devils are honoured to have received the Pride Cup this weekend.

The Cup was presented to the club and The Foundation at half time of Friday’s game – the last game of the season – against Widnes Vikings.

The Pride Cup originated in the 2011/2012 season by the Sheffield Eagles RLFC and Lou Englefield, Director of LGBT Sports Development and Equity Organisation for Pride Sports.

Manchester Canalsiders, the World’s first LGBT Rugby League team, presented the trophy alongside The Foundation, Salford Red Devils and Dr. Devil.

The Foundation received the Cup on the grounds of their continued efforts surrounding events and work within the LGBT Community. We are incredibly proud of supporting LGBT and will continue to in the future.
