SRDFoundation teams up with TK Maxx to raise funds for Cancer Reserach UK

Salford Red Devils Foundation are teaming up with TK Maxx to raise funds for cancer Research UK

Salford Red Devils Foundation have teamed up with TK Maxx and their 'Give clothes up for good' campaign to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. The Tackle Cancer programme is an initiative in which SRD Foundation look to use community facilities and awareness game days to talk to local male residents and Red Devils Fans to better inform them of the signs and symptoms of various cancers as well as the correct course of action should they experience any. If you notice any signs and symptoms of cancer you should go straight to your GP. By getting involved with TK Maxx we are hoping to increase survival chances by raising money for Cancer research UK.

Since 2004 TK Maxx have been urging their customers and employees to drop off their unwanted quality clothes at their local TK Maxx store.

Everything is then sold in Cancer Research UK shops or recycled, raising valuable funds for research into beating kids' cancer.

SRD Foundation are now urging all of our fans and staff to do the same by dropping them off at your local TK Maxx store or with Des Burgess at the Stadium.

Des stated 'TK Maxx have been supporting the Foundation in our various Community work over the last 15 Months and we like to support people that support us, so as soon as we heard about their 'Give up clothes for good' campaign we had to throw our full support behind it. I've got together 2 bags up to now from my house and I have urged everyone involved with the club to do the same as it is such a good cause. My Fiancee will probably be glad to see me make some space in the wardrobe.
