100% pass rate on coaching course

The Salford Red Devils are proud to announce a 100% pass rate from its recent UKCC level 2 coaching course.

The Red Devils Foundation hosted the course at the AJ Bell Stadium, and put 20 local community coaches through the qualification.

The coaches were put through their paces across four days, learning the key skills required to deliver structured and engaging coaching sessions to a high standard.

The course plays a key part in the Foundations commitment to improving the quality of the community game, and encouraging more young people to take up the sport of rugby league.

Foundation Education Manager Neil Blackburn oversaw the coaching programme and was delighted to see a 100% pass rate, saying;

“I really pleased for these guys who haven given up their time to take the qualification. Having a strong level of community coaching is hugely important in developing and improving the game of rugby league, and hopefully these guys can take what they’ve learnt back to their clubs and be a real benefit.”

The success of this course follows on the from the Foundation receiving the highest possible grade for our ‘embed the pathway’ programme, and Foundation Director Mark Brocklehurst is looking forward to seeing the long term benefits, he said;

“Providing strong community programmes is central to what we do. We’re committed to developing the game at a community level and the success puts Salford in fantastic position going forwards.”
